Kyle Rees, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador New Democratic Party, has written to the province's Chief Electoral Officer seeking an all-party meeting to explore, discuss, and hopefully find solutions to the current confusion surrounding voting in the on
going provincial election.
"We are hearing, and I am sure other parties are hearing, from voters who can't navigate the website, don't have internet access, and/or can't get through on the phone," Rees said. "It is hard to believe everything will be straightened out by 8 p.m. Monday.
"We understand that the CEO's office is overwhelmed at the moment, but our primary concern is for people who want to exercise their democratic right to vote but through no fault of their own are unable to do so."
