Shawn Hodder

Humber - Bay of Islands

A long time resident of Corner Brook, Shawn was born in Fredericton New Brunswick in 1966.  His father, Benjamin Keith Hodder was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and was born in Pasadena.  Following his father’s death in 1975, Shawn moved to Denmark with his mother and sister where he resided until 1994.   

 

Following graduation from high school in 1983, Shawn attended art school where he studied Photography.  From 1992-1994 Shawn worked for the Danish Red Cross at refugee camps during the Yugoslavian civil war.  In 1994 Shawn returned to Newfoundland for a family celebration and decided to stay and make Corner Brook his home.

 

Since moving back to Corner Brook, Shawn has worked in various local retail businesses – managing the Footlocker from 1995-2000 and managing Telus Mobility from 2008-2012.  Shawn currently works with Altronics Ltd. in Corner Brook, where he has the opportunity to share his knowledge and passion for photography.

 

Shawn is married to Lana Dorothy Pittman. They live in Corner Brook and have two step daughter's Stephanie and Lindsay and two dogs, Puppers and Harley, and a cat Sonny.
